The iDRAC controller can provide shutdown, reboot and remote function for you. Now i will show you how to use the iDRAC virtual console.



* Before you use the iDRAC controller, you should update your java to the latest version. (http://java.com/zh_TW/download/)

* You may need to add your server ip to the java exception list. (tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCIt6NSqACg)

* You are suggested to use firefox and chrome for iDRAC.



First login to the web interface were you normally should have something similar to the next screen capture.




After you login to the IDRAC, you will see this page, press launch to download the virtual console file.



Rename this file to yourip.jnlp while you renamed your file, the file will be change to java.


Then double click to the jnlp file, the virtual console will be appear on the screen.
